Eric Jones wins Re-Max World Long Drive Championships super senior division in Mesquite Nv. On Oct. 18th. Eric dominated a field of 46 competitors all day, beating 6 past champions and 4 hall of famers with 14 titles. With many balls over 360 yards in calm conditions, his longest of the day was 388.

I built new clubs for Eric in September when the new orange colored Geek No Brainer first became available. I used the Aerotech Claymore MX60f5 shafts and my proprietary grip end insert that worked well last year in the Geek DCT model custom tailored to Erics swing. We went through 4 weeks of club configuration and testing with the new heads to get the ideal specs using my Zelocity launch monitor. Because the No Brainer is 6 grams heavier than the DCT, we made some shaft modifications that gave Eric 10 more yards over the previous setup.

Once we had the ideal specs, I built more clubs with various lofts to deal with the ever changing wind conditions in Mesquite and we tested them out on the range to make sure we had all conditions covered. I m very proud to be able to work with such a great competitor and champion. Eric also won the WLDC senior division in 2003 at age 45.
